Sanctuary

Today marks a crisp new day

The sky is blue and clear,

While the sun is shining brightly

The warm sun breathes heavily upon my face,

While your journey has now come to an end

I feel mine has just begun,

Each memory of you now is precious

I know all I have to give others

Is all you have taught me,

I will use your wisdom and strength wisely

As I travel through my own turbulent journey,

Although you will never see

Where my journey takes me,

As I drift through uncertain times

Your memory will be my guide,

As I travel to a place of sanctuary

Where peace will be with me once again
